Traditional County Durham Butchery

Our master butchers maintain skills passed down through generations, keeping the heritage of Northern agriculture alive. By handling our own grass-fed livestock right here on our farm in the Gaunless Valley, we provide some of the lowest food miles in County Durham.

We believe in ethical farming regardless of the season. When the County Durham weather turns wet & cold in the autumn, our livestock returns to our roomy, sheltered sheds where they are fed with grain grown in our very own fields until the flooded pastures recover & the Sun returns producing that awesome grass fed taste. It’s honest, transparent farming you can taste with every bite.
